The storage capacity of white and medicinal sugar increased by 25,000 tons with the opening of the second sugar-warehouse of Hakim Farabi Sugarcane Agro-Industry.
According to the PR report of the Sugarcane & By-Products Development Co., this warehouse with an area of 7,000 square meters and a capacity of 25,000 tons, was inaugurated today, Tuesday (December 14th) in the presence of the CEO of the Sugarcane & By-Products Development Co.
The CEO of Sugarcane & By-Products Development Co. stated that “regulating the market and preventing the closure of sugar factories by increasing production” was the reason for building a new warehouse and said: Due to the increase in white sugar production and exceeding the nominal capacity, the capacity of the warehouses was being filled and with the addition of the new warehouse, there is no concern about the closure of sugar factories with the increase of production and filling of the warehouses.
Sugarcane & By-Products Development Co. provides more than 40% of the country’s sugar needs, and with the opening of these warehouses, it will be possible to store and distribute this strategic commodity in the country.
Dr. Abd Ali Naseri further added: Farabi’s new warehouse has a storage capacity of 5,000 tons of medicinal sugar and 20,000 tons of white sugar..
He praised the CEO, board of directors and staff of Farabi Agro-Industry and specified: ” This Agro-Industry took the first step in increasing the capacity of sugar warehouses, and the same is being done in other sugarcane units.”
Pharmaceutical companies no longer have to worry about the supply of medicinal sugar
Following the ceremony, the CEO of Hakim Farabi Agro-Industry, thanked Dr. Naseri for his prompt support in financing the construction of the sugar-warehouse and mentioned: ” Farabi Sugarcane Agro-Industry is the only producer of medicinal sugar in the Middle East and has an irreplaceable role for the pharmaceutical industry, so it was necessary to build a warehouse for storing medicinal sugar. “
Touraj Bahadori, affirming that the medicinal sugar-warehouse has been built in accordance with international and health standards, added: “With the opening of this warehouse, pharmaceutical companies do not have to worry about the supply of required medicinal sugar throughout the year.”
He further detailed: Due to the high capacity of Farabi Sugarcane Agro-Industry in refining sugar and lasting records in white sugar production, the existing warehouse did not suffice for this volume of production and a new warehouse was created with the aim of increasing sugar storage and the possibility of further production.
The 2nd sugar-warehouse of Hakim Farabi Sugarcane Agro-Industry was built with a credit of about 230 billion Rials and in 15 months.
With the production of 208,500 tons of white and pharmaceutical sugar, last year, Hakim Farabi Agro-Industry set a new record in the annual production of white sugar at the level of sugarcane companies.
