Hakim Farabi Sugarcane Agro-Industry earned the title of the top R&D unit of the country in the 10th Research and Technology Festival of the Ministry of Industry, Mine & Trade.
According to the PR report of the Sugarcane & By-Products Development Co., Farabi Sugar Company, in addition to producing white sugar, is the largest producer of medicinal sugar in the Middle East and plays an important role in meeting the needs of pharmaceutical companies. The pharmaceutical sugar produced by this company is known as the first top product of Research & development (R&D) in the country.

CEO of Hakim Farabi Sugarcane Agro-Industry, said that earning the title of the country’s top Research & Development unit, is the result of continuous efforts and scientific research of our colleagues and added: ” The production of products that are accompanied by research will have more productivity and performance.”
Touraj Bahadori considered the 21% increase in the white sugar production capacity of this company as the result of moving in the direction of research and added: “Efforts that have scientific and research support will lead to increased production and setting various records, in this regard, Farabi Sugarcane Agro-Industry was able to exceed its nominal capacity.”
Referring to the cooperation of Farabi Sugarcane Agro-Industry with knowledge-based companies to solve the existing challenges, he said that the first startup tour of Sugarcane Industry was held in cooperation with the Sugarcane Research Institute, Shahid Chamran University of Ahvaz and the Research and Development Office with the aim of increasing productivity and the realization of the slogan of production prosperity, and good results were followed in three areas of Industry, Agriculture & HQ.

CEO of Hakim Farabi, Sugarcane Agro-Industry, considered research in the field of water productivity as one of the company’s other measures in research and added: ” Due to the drought and the need to increase water productivity, a pilot project of pressurized irrigation using dripper pipes was implemented in collaboration with the Sugarcane Research Institute in this company at the scope of 22 hectares. “
Bahadori further described the complete transformation of sugar factory boilers into gas combustion boilers as another important step in the direction of research and mentioned that due to the expertise and experience of our colleagues, there is the possibility to turn the boilers of Sugarcane Units, Sugar Factories into gas burner boilers.
In the end, he announced the formation of research work groups in three areas of Industry, Agriculture and HQ, and said that creativity, innovation and research have a special place in Farabi Sugarcane Agro-Industry and serious measures have been taken in the field of subsidiary industries.
The 10th Research and Technology Festival and the 7th Exhibition of Research and Technology Achievements in the Field of Industry, Mine and Trade were held in the form of a video conference on Monday, December 13th 2021, with the aim of introducing the industrial, mine and Trade research project and the top researcher.
