“Phosphate” and “Nitrate” fertilizer production plant is one of the knowledge-based projects of Sugarcane & By-Products Development Company, which was launched in Imam Khomeini Agro-Industry last year.

According to the PR report of Sugarcane & By-Products Development Co., this factory is in the final stages of construction and has made significant progress so far and its production line will be put into operation in the near future.

The CEO of Sugarcane & By-Products Development Co. considered the phosphate and nitrate fertilizer production plant as an important step towards improving agriculture, which leads to an increase in crop production.

Dr. Abd Ali Naseri added: With the start of the production line of this factory, about 20 thousand tons of phosphate and nitrate fertilizers will be produced annually, and in the development phase, in addition to meeting the needs of Sugarcane Agro-industries, the province’s agricultural needs will also be provided for.

According to him, Sugarcane & By-Products Development Co. has created a suitable platform to fulfill the orders of the Supreme Leader in the production and self-sufficiency of the country and has various programs for the prosperity of downstream industries.

According to this report, the phosphate and nitrate fertilizer production factory was initiated in March of last year in the presence of the commander of the Karbala base in the southwest of the country and the provincial officials.

This factory is being built and launched in the year of Knowledge-Based Production, with the participation of two knowledge-based companies in Imam Khomeini (RA) Sugarcane Agro-Industry.

Based on the research, phosphate and nitrate fertilizers, are among the important types of inputs to increase the productivity of agricultural products and play an important role in providing food security.
