Construction of welding robot for the first time in the sugarcane industry
According to the public relations of the Sugarcane Development Company, this welding robot was designed and produced in collaboration with Sugarcane & By-Products Research & Training Institute and Dehkhoda sugarcane cultivation and industry Co.
In this regard, the assistant director of Industry of the Sugarcane & By-Products Research & Training Institute, referring to the use of a welding robot in the sugarcane industry, stated: After harvesting and transporting sugarcane to the cane emptying site in the sugar factory, the sugarcane enters the mill, to be processed and prepared for the extracting operations.
Mr. Joyandehkar added: The sugarcane extracting section consists of five mills and each mill consists of five rollers, in which three main rollers execute the sugarcane extraction process.
He explained that in the process of extraction, the rollers wear out: this causes the extraction operation to stop for a while in order to repair and rebuild the rollers.
Referring to the performance of the welding robot in preventing interruptions in sugar production, the assistant director of Industry of Sugarcane & By-Products Research & Training Institute said: The welding robot was built to prevent interruptions in the sugarcane extraction operation and to repair and weld the rollers during the extraction process which results in the elimination of interruptions in the factory and this will increase the production efficiency.
Furthermore, Joyandehkar mentioned: the welding robot performs the repair and welding operations in case of wear when the mill rollers are working, according to the premade plans and intelligently.
He added: “Previously, Brazil was the manufacturer of welding robots in the sugarcane industry, which was localized and built with the efforts of the experts of the Sugarcane Development Co. and thus making foreign companies redundant in these times of sanctions.
The assistant director of Industry of the Sugarcane Development Research and Training Institute while mentioning the low cost of the product compared to the price of foreign products as one of its advantages stated: The price of a welding robot in Brazil is 25,000 Euros, but sugarcane development specialists managed to build this technology with 130 million Tomans.
It is worth mentioning that Engineer Goodarzi from Dehkhoda sugarcane cultivation and industry Co. and Engineer Moradi from Sugarcane & By-Products Research & Training Institute designed and built this welding robot.
