Hafttappeh was restored, Sugarcane harvest operations have begun
The CEO of the Sugarcane & By-Products Development Company appreciated the support of the workers in the reconstruction of Hafttappeh and considered the new breath in the body of this sugarcane unit as the product of their hard work and dedication.
He said: “Hafttappeh is ready to return to its golden days, and after the complete transfer of this company, we have several plans for its development in consideration.”
He announced the successful completion of the overhaul operation of the sugar factory and added: “The overhaul and preparation of the sugar factory began in October of this year with the endless efforts of the employees, and despite the wear and tear and the lack of some technical parts, this operation was completed successfully.”
The CEO of the Sugarcane & By-Products Development Company stated that the sugarcane harvest in Hafttappeh cultivated lands will be done for 100 working days with the estimate of 300,000 tons of sugarcane.
In another part of his speech, the CEO of Sugarcane & By-Products Development Co. asked the officials to facilitate the conditions for the complete transfer of Hafttappeh to this company, so that new plans for the transformation and development of this sugarcane unit can be put in motion.
Naseri stated: the ultimate goal of production is one million tons of sugarcane and extraction of 100,000 tons of sugar per week, which will be achieved according to the three-year development plan.
This is the first sugarcane harvesting and sugar production operation in Hafttappeh since being handed over to the Sugarcane & By-Products Development Company.
In the thanksgiving ceremony of the commencement of the sugarcane harvest, the memory of the late “Jamal Saadi”, a deceased sugarcane worker, was honored.
With the transfer of Hafttappeh to the Sugarcane Development Company on October 10th, this year, not only the employees’ arrears were paid, but also the salaries were updated and the workers were covered by supplementary insurance, and the company returned to the production cycle after a long period of protests.
