The annual general meetings of Agro-Industries and branch companies of Sugarcane Development was held in the presence of the CEO of Sugarcane & By-Products Development Company, deputies and members of the company’s board of directors.

According to the PR report of the Sugarcane & By-Products Development Company, in these meetings, performance, financial statements for the six months ending in March 2022 of the Agro-industries and subsidiary companies of Sugarcane Development, as well as the proposed budget for the fiscal year ending on 22nd September 2023, and a report on the capacities and achievements of this industry was presented.

Positive Scientific & Applied accomplishments should be shared

The CEO of Sugarcane Development Company called the application of the experiences gained from the general meetings of Sugarcane industries and Sugarcane subsidiaries as the results of these meetings and stated that positive experiences and desirable scientific and practical measures should be shared among all Sugarcane units.

Dr. Abd Ali Naseri considered updating knowledge in sugarcane industry and agriculture sectors as an important action that should be done continuously.
According to him, research and study in the Sugarcane industry should be institutionalized and these researches should bring tangible results in increasing production efficiency.

In the Sugarcane industry Jihadi work must be done

In another part of his speech at the General Assembly of Sugarcane Companies, the CEO of the Sugarcane Development Company emphasized the necessity of production boom in this industry and considered the necessity of its realization as “Jihadist work” in all sectors.

Naseri added: The resistance economy considered by the Supreme Leader is guided by the maximum utilization of capacities, so to achieve this goal, one must work hard and make the most of the internal capabilities of the company for the benefit of production.

He pointed to the Sugarcane industry standard improvements and said: We have to compare ourselves with the best of sugarcane all around the globe, as a result, all of our efforts should be moving towards standardization and obtaining the highest achievements in this industry.

Investment opportunity in downstream industries

Investment opportunities in downstream industries was one of the main points of Dr. Abd Ali Naseri’s speech at the annual general meetings of Agro-Industries and branch companies.

According to him, the downstream industries are one of the available capacities for investment in the sugarcane industry, which both creates employment and boosts production in the branch industries, therefore, space should be provided to attract investors and promote downstream industries in the Sugarcane units.

The CEO of Sugarcane Development Co. requisitioned the managers to provide more industrial infrastructure in the Sugarcane units for investors in downstream industries.

From emphasizing on timely payment of salaries to continuous training of manpower

Protection of manpower, planning for regular harvesting of sugarcane and sugar production in the new operating period, timely payment of salaries, attention to personnel welfare, emphasis on manpower training, attention to peripheral areas, maximum use of non-sugarcane capacities, use of knowledge-based companies in order to increase productivity, optimal use of water resources, development of research projects, etc., were among the other axes of Dr. Naseri’s speech at the meeting of the companies’ assemblies, where he called for managers to pay more attention to these matters.
