In the joint meeting of the CEO of the Sugarcane & By-Products Development Co. and the Director General of the Standard Administration and Industrial Research of Khuzestan, more cooperation and interaction between the Sugarcane Industry and the Standard Administration was emphasized.
According to the PR report of the Sugarcane & By-Products Development Company, in this meeting, which was held today, Monday (January 31st), in the presence of a number of managers and deputies, the CEO of Sugarcane & By-Products Development stated that the sugarcane industry is a pioneer in complying with the standard in the production of sugar and by-products.
According to Dr. Abd Ali Naseri, the products of this company, including sugar, yeast, alcohol, MDF, are produced with the highest quality and in compliance with valid national and international standards.
This industry is always at the top of standard production units by having the most equipped quality control laboratories in different sectors.
For the first time among Iran’s sugar industry, the sugar produced by this company has succeeded in obtaining the international certificates of the World Food and Drug Administration and the export standard of the European Union.
Production of sugarcane products with the highest Standard insignia
The CEO of the Sugarcane Development Co. described the sugarcane industry as a family of 100,000 people, which was able to create employment for 25,000 people directly and 5,000 to 6,000 people seasonally, and provided a source of revenue for a large number of people in Khuzestan.
Naseri indicated the supply of 50% of the country’s sugar needs and said that each of the seven agro-industries have a production of 100,000 tons of sugar per year, which by joining the Hafttappeh agro-industry to the seven projects, in the three-year plan, the sugar production capacity will reach 800,000 tons.
He enumerated the production of medical alcohol with a capacity of 33 million liters per year, yeast with a capacity of 10,000 tons, brown sugar with a capacity of 7,500 tons, medicinal grade sugar with a capacity of 15,000 tons, animal feed with a capacity of 100,000 tons, MDF with a production capacity of 132 thousand cubic meters per year as other capacities of this company, all of which comply with the national and international standards.
