With the presence of the CEO of Sugarcane & By-Products Development Company, the first “Sugarcane Planter” device, designed and built by Sugarcane experts, was unveiled and put into operation.

According to the PR report of Sugarcane & By-Products Development Company, this machine was built by the specialists of the mechanical equipment unit of Imam Khomeini (RA) Sugarcane Agro-Industry in a period of 6 months.

Employment of Scientific & Research abilities of young forces

In the unveiling ceremony of this machine, which was held on Saturday, August 13th, with the presence of a group of officials, Dr. Abd Ali Naseri considered the manufacture and localization of the Sugarcane Planting machine by using the scientific and research power of the young and creative forces of the Sugarcane Development Co. to be an effective measure in increasing productivity, self-sufficiency and neutralizing the sanctions.

According to him, the manufacture and localization of various agricultural equipment and many parts of the sugarcane industry in line with the resistance economy and moving towards self-sufficiency is on the agenda.

The production of five sugarcane harvesters, the assembly of a welding robot, the manufacture of a molasses transfer device, the making of the first engine warning device, etc. are parts of the actions of this company in the localization of agricultural and industrial equipment in line with knowledge-based production. In September of last year, the sound of the fifth sugarcane harvester made by Sugarcane experts resonated in the sugarcane fields, and the tracks of the wheels of this local harvester were imprinted in the sugarcane fields of Salman Farsi Agro-Industry.

Fully mechanized Sugarcane cultivation

The CEO of Sugarcane & By-Products Development Co. further pointed out the practical features of the Sugarcane Planter and stated that before, sugarcane cultivation was done manually, but with the use of this device, cultivation is done completely mechanized.

According to Naseri, speed and accuracy are the two characteristics of the sugarcane planter, which has a significant effect on reducing costs and increasing productivity in Khuzestan weather conditions.

By using all capacities, this company has taken steps towards self-sufficiency, booming production and removing obstacles, and emphasis on applied research in the two fields of industry and agriculture is at the top of this company’s agenda.
