The meeting to review the strategies for expanding cooperation between the Sugarcane industry and social security was held on Monday (April 11) in the presence of the CEO of Sugarcane & By-Products Development and the director general of Social Security Administration in Khuzestan.

As reported by the PR of the Sugarcane & By-Products Development Company, in this meeting, Dr. Abd Ali Naseri, while congratulating the New Year and the arrival of the holy month of Ramadan, thanked the insurance services of the Khuzestan Social Security Administration for the Sugarcane Industry and called for more interaction of this organization with the Sugarcane Development Complex.

He described Sugarcane as one of the major industrial complexes in the province with more than 25,000 employees and said that timely payment of insurance, health and welfare of the great family of Sugarcane Development is always a priority.

The CEO of the Sugarcane & By-Products Development Co. pointed to the resolution of the Hafttapeh workers’ insurance problem and said that after the transfer of this Sugarcane Unit, workers’ issues and problems were investigated and resolved step by step, and now the Hafttapeh social security premium for workers is paid at the same time as the other Agro-industries.

Naseri then presented a report on the activities of the eight Sugarcane Units and their subsidiaries, and discussed the company’s insurance issues and the interaction of Social Security Administration with the Sugarcane industry.

Following the meeting, the Director General of the Khuzestan Social Security Administration appreciated the actions of the CEO of the Sugarcane & By-Products Development Co. in solving the Hafttapeh workers’ insurance problems and stated that the Social Security Administration is ready to interact and cooperate to support production.

Abdolreza Roshani introduced Sugarcane Development as one of the most regular production units in paying insurance and stated that the policies of the Social Security Administration towards workers and production units are always supportive.

Expressing that the Social Security Administration supports employment and economic prosperity, he said: “In order to fulfill the slogan of the year and follow the order of the Supreme Leader in ‘The Year of Knowledge-Based Production and Job Creation’, we are ready for constructive interaction with all industries and producers.”
