Dr. Naseri: The Concentration project is an important step in reducing water consumption and invention of new products
The largest industrial wastewater treatment project in Iran’s Sugarland was inaugurated in the presence of the Vice President and Head of the Environmental Protection Organization on the second day of Environment Week, at Razi Yeast & Alcohol Co.
According to the public relations of the Sugarcane & By-Products Development Co, with the start of this knowledge-based and environmental project, in addition to saving water consumption, “natural mulch” and “animal feed” will also be produced.
In the inauguration ceremony of the project, which was attended by the Deputy Governor of Khuzestan for Economic Affairs, the CEO of the Sugarcane & By-Products Development Company, the Director General of Khuzestan Environment and a group of provincial managers; the head of the Environmental Protection Agency described the Sugarcane Vinasse Condensation as an environmentally friendly project that would reduce pollution.
Bank on universities and knowledge-based companies
Ali Selajegheh described the project as being Knowledge-based and said that the use of elite Iranian youth and the trust in universities and local knowledge-based enterprises has marked the great project of concentrating sugarcane Vinasse.
He called the inauguration of such projects in line with the Supreme Leader’s order and stressed that, relying on indigenous knowledge and domestic efforts, Islamic Iran has now reached the desired stage of knowledge and technology that even developed countries want to buy this technology.
The head of the Environmental Protection Agency further pointed out the advantages of the Sugarcane Vinasse Concentrate project and said that, using the indigenous technology utilized in this project, the water in sugarcane vinasse, is recycled in the process of condensation and reused in the cooling system of the factory.
Production of natural mulch in the Vinasse Concentration Project
Selajegheh mentioned the production of new crops as another advantage of this plan and stated that during the process of concentrating vinasse, natural mulch is produced as a secondary product that stabilizes the soil and has a great impact on its fertility.
He added that the valuable experiences of the sugarcane industry in the field of desertification and stabilization of dust centers using vinasse should be used, and the Ministry of Agricultural Jihad and the Environmental Organization can also use these experiences to stabilize dust centers.
An important achievement of the efforts of Sugarcane managers and the genius of the Iranian youth
The head of the Environmental Protection Agency described the Sugarcane Vinasse Concentrate Project as an important achievement in line with the axiom of the year, which is the result of the efforts and perseverance of Sugarcane Development managers and the genius of the Iranian youth.
In the end, Selajegheh said, in order to fulfill the axiom of the year and the order of the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution in the country’s environment in the field of reducing soil and water pollutants and air and waste issues, we are using the capacity of knowledge-based companies and there are good capacities in this field in the country.
The Vinasse Concentration Project is an important step in reducing water consumption
Following the ceremony, the CEO of Sugarcane & By-Products Development Company said: “This factory converts 1,200 cubic meters of Vinasse per day into 120 cubic meters of Vinasse with a concentration of 55 to 60%, which can be used in the production of fertilizers and animal feed.”
Dr. Naseri further described Bagasse and Molasses as two valuable sugarcane wastes that are used in the production of new products with high added value.
He referred to the Sugarcane Vinasse Concentration Project and said that the water in the Sugarcane Vinasse will be extracted and recycled in the condensation project, which is an important step in reducing water consumption.
