On the sidelines of the ceremony, which was held on Saturday, March 6th 2021, in the presence of a group of managers and deputies of the company, Sardar Ahmad Khadem Seyed Al-Shohada visited the nursery plantation and Sardar Shahid Qassem Soleimani tree planting project of Imam Khomeini Agro-Industry.

Imam Khomeini Sugarcane Agro-Industry Nursery has been built on a land with an area of 6,000 square meters with the capacity of 225,000 seedlings per year.

The second phase of the tree planting project of Sardar Shahid Qassem Soleimani also started in an area equivalent to 80 hectares in December of this year. This project has been implemented in Imam Khomeini Agro-Industry in order to reduce the pressure on the natural forest regions in cutting down trees and preserving natural resources on one hand and on the other hand, meeting the country’s need for wood as raw material, which undoubtedly, will play a significant role in creating stable employment in the region.

According to the plans, in the next five years, one million saplings will be planted on 800 hectares of the company’s lands with the aim of preserving the environment and using eucalyptus wood for industrial wood production.
